MANADO, KOMPAS.com - National Science Olympiad (OSN), which is managed by the DSE (Directorate General Education) Ministry of National Education in 2011 will be held in Manado, North Sulawesi. Of course, envy. I saw, how they are free to actualize themselves without any need to see the home school alma mater (high school). OSN Participants were filtered through a test in a transparent manner. From the field of economics alone, last year netted 140 students who entered as a participant OSN economic field.
They then compete. However, after the competition ends they like a family that has one purpose in life in economics. They always share information about various kinds of economic competition where it exists.
Their laughter in a community have always looked warm. Moreover, when there is an economic competition that re-unite them. The smell of competition is felt, though never fade kekeluargaannya atmosphere.
It was very different from the implementation of the National Applied Science Olympiad (OSTN) is managed by Dikmenjur (Directorate of Vocational Secondary Education) Ministry of National Education, which is an OSN for vocational students. OSTN last year which was held in Semarang are only followed by the schools labeled Schools International Standard / International Standard School Stubs (SBI / RSBI). While CMS is not yet meet the criteria, "please stop!". That is, can not participate.
Once diskriminatifnya OSTN? Was among top officials in the directorate of SMK think, that students of vocational school instead of SBI / RSBI not have to compete a high quality?
Even if so, whether they think closing the opportunity to compete for students of SMK non-SBI/RSBI will make students of "backward" would have "lost interest" in self-development? Is that not a single meaning to kill the ideals that mandated the children of the people to him?
Come on educational managers who devoted himself to educate the children SMK! As a student of SMK non-SBI/RSBI, I still have goals in OSTN 4 in 2011.
